Anesthesiology
Provides pain relief and maintenance, or restoration, of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or a diagnostic procedure.
Anticoagulation Clinic
Specializes in monitoring patients who are taking blood thinning medications for various heart diseases, valve replacements, or have experienced blood clots. This medication, along with other anticoagulation medications, carries certain risk factors such as bleeding and clotting complications and requires intense monitoring to ensure its safety and efficiency.
Asthma & Allergy
Evaluates, diagnoses and manages disorders potentially involving the immune system.
Audiology
Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats hearing and balance disorders, for all ages. No patient is ever "too young" or "too old". Untreated communication disorders can significantly, and negatively, impact the quality of life at all ages. Audiology services also include hearing aid fittings and maintenance.

Center for Weight Loss and Wellness
The Center for Weight Loss and Wellness provides medically-directed weight loss and health maintenance programs. These state-of-the-art programs provide intensive lifestyle education, personalized attention and follow up, and nutritionally complete meal plans. The Center provides multiple weight loss program options, including in-clinic and phone-based group classes while focusing on life-long skills and lifestyle changes. The long-term weight maintenance phase is the cornerstone of this program. Nutritionally complete Meal Replacement products can be purchased by appropriate individuals not enrolled in the program. Dermatology
Specializes in diseases of the skin, including but not limited to, treatment of warts, acne, psoriasis, skin cancers, and many other various skin conditions as well as general skin exams. Dermatology performs minor surgical procedures using local anesthetic.
Ear, Nose & Throat
Also called ENT or Otolaryngology, these medical specialists provide medical and surgical treatment of the head and neck, including the ears, nose, and throat.
Education Outreach
Positively impacts the health of individuals by providing multidisciplinary educational programs and services which emphasize prevention, self-management, and healthy lifestyle. Classes and other educational programs are presented both in group settings, as well as on an individual basis.
Emergency Medicine
Provides stabilization, evaluation and treatment for patients with acute illness or injury.
Family Medicine
Provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for the individual and family. Its scope encompasses all patients, each organ system and every disease entity.
FastCare Clinic
OMC FastCare is a walk-in clinic located at Rochester's Shopko North and Shopko South stores. FastCare provides treatment for many common aliments and injuries. You don't need an appointment and you don't need to be an Olmsted Medical Center patient to use FastCare.
General Surgery
Diagnoses and treats injury, deformity, and disease by manual and instrumental means. At OMC, the general surgery department performs diagnostic colonoscopies.
Health and Wellness
Provides guidance and advice on preventive medicine and steps people can take to avoid urgent and prolonged medical care.
Hospitalist Services
A hospitalist is a physician who specializes in the care of patients in hospitals. Unlike primary care doctors, hospitalists usually don't have practices outside the hospital. Instead, they can remain on site to communicate with specialists, monitor each patient's condition, and generally stay in constant touch with inpatients. Their role is to support the patient-care team at a more efficient level, particularly inpatients whose condition is tenuous and who may need a rapid response.
Immunization & Travel Clinic
Helps travelers obtain the immunizations and medications needed to stay healthy while outside the US. Offers routine immunizations (including flu shots) as well as specialized vaccinations (including yellow fever).
Internal Medicine
Takes care of long term, comprehensive management of both common and complex medical illness of adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
Neurology
Diagnoses and treats all categories of disease or impaired function of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, muscles, and autonomic nervous system, as well as the blood vessels that relate to these structures.
Obstetrics & Gynecology
Obstetrics deals specifically with the management of pregnancy and labor, while Gynecology deals with women's health issues at all ages, including diseases of the female genital tract, hormone abnormalities, infertility, urinary incontinence, menopause and preventative health in women.
Occupational Medicine
A medical subspecialty of Preventive Medicine that focuses on the relationships among the health of workers, the ability to perform work, the arrangements of work, and the physical and chemical environments of the workplace.
Ophthalmology
Provides comprehensive eye and vision care, including diagnosis, monitoring, and surgically treating all problems of the eye and the visual system. Vision services, such as prescribing glasses and contact lenses, as well as the prevention of eye diseases and injury, are included in the area of ophthalmology.
Optical Shop
A retail complement to ophthalmology services. Sells, fits, and maintains eyeglass frames/lenses, contact lenses, accessories, and other vision-enhancing products.
Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Offers preservation, investigation, and restoration of the form and function of the extremities, spine and associated structures by medical, surgical and physical means.
Pain Management
Provides services dedicated to diagnosing, treating, and minimizing physical pain.
Pathology / Lab
Provides comprehensive testing to detect disease and monitor treatment and wellness. The OMC laboratory meets the high standards of quality established for accreditation by the College of American Pathologists.
Patient Education & Outreach
Provides patients information and resources for diabetes and nutrition. Staffed by a team of nurses, Certified Diabetes Educators, and Registered Dietitians, the department offers education services designed to assist individuals, families and groups at achieving optimal health and overall wellness. The diabetes program has been awarded recognition by the American Diabetes Association. Nutrition Therapy services include managing cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood pressure through diet and exercise coaching, as well as nutrition instruction around weight management, eating disorders, food allergies, pregnancy, and special diets (including vegetarian).
Pediatrics
Takes care of the physical, emotional, and social health of children from birth to young adulthood. Pediatric care encompasses a broad spectrum of health services ranging from preventive healthcare to the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic diseases.
Perinatal Loss Support
Clinically supervised support for families who have experienced miscarriage or post-partum loss of a child, addressing depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder.
Physical Therapy
Prevents and corrects physical injury or disability. Physical therapists evaluate and/or treat any person by using therapeutic exercise, rehabilitative training, and/or physical measures such as heat, cold, electricity, or sound.
Plastic Surgery
Encompasses both reconstructive surgery, which is performed on abnormal structures of the body caused by birth defects, developmental problems, injuries, infections, tumors or disease, and cosmetic surgery, which is performed to reshape the body to improve appearance and self-esteem. Podiatry
Provides treatment of disorders of the foot, ankle, knee, leg and hip (collectively known as the lower extremity).
Psychiatry / Psychology
Deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, addictive, and emotional disorders, such as psychoses, depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse disorders, development disabilities, sexual dysfunctions, and adjustment reaction.
Radiology (Diagnostic)
Uses all modalities of radiant energy in medical diagnosis and therapeutic procedures utilizing radiologic guidance. This includes, but is not restricted to, imaging techniques and methodologies utilizing radiation emitted by x-ray tubes, radionuclides, ultrasonographic devices, and radiofrequency electromagnetic radiation emitted by atoms.
Research
Striving for innovation, our researchers study diseases and conditions, including the effect of diseases on people's lives and the value of treatment in preventing, curing and improving the outcomes of diseases. The focus is on common disease or conditions in our community populations.
Sleep Medicine / Lab
Specialized diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related disorders. Olmsted Medical Center established its sleep program by partnering with Precision Diagnostic Services, Inc., which is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Joint Commission, and others.
Social Services
Provides medical social work services to patients, families and staff members. Medical social workers are knowledgeable about community resources and financial programs. They can offer supportive counseling services and assist with discharge planning needs. Medical social workers are sincerely interested in meeting the needs of a wide range of patients, families and staff.

Urology
Treats and manages benign and malignant medical and surgical disorders of the adrenal gland and of the reproductive and urinary systems and their adjoining structures.
Vascular Ultrasound
Vascular ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves to examine the blood vessels for dilation, narrowing, or blockage. The vessels most frequently examined are in the neck, arms and legs, including both arteries and veins.
Volunteer Chaplains
Address emotional and spiritual needs of various denominations to promote health and wellness, recovery, and issues related to healthcare services.
Women's Services
Services planned and provided with special emphasis on women's physiological needs, including mammography, dietary guidance, obstetrics and gynecology, and general health and wellness.
