Current openings
Histology Technician/Technologist
Location: Hospital
Department: Pathology
FTE: 0.5-0.7
Shifts: Day shifts (Monday-Friday)
Qualifications:
- HT registered or registry eligible from a NAACLS accredited or formal histology training program
- Associate's Degree or higher with a minimum educational requirement of 24 credit hours in chemistry or biology (6 credits in each preferred)
- Two years previous experience preferred
- Technical knowledge of the area of histology including hospital and lab procedures
Position Responsibilities:
- Accessioning specimens
- Specimen processing
- Microtomy techniques
- Paraffin, frozen
- Staining including routine H&E and limited special stains
